Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Surgery Trauma Unit – Georgia

Schedule: Full-time assignment with required holiday coverage. Candidates must be available to work either Thanksgiving Day or the day after Thanksgiving, plus either Christmas Eve/Christmas Day OR New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Shift assignments as scheduled; block scheduling not available.

- High-acuity surgical trauma floor with diverse and challenging patient population including surgical cases, trauma patients, and complex neurological conditions
- 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio with excellent nursing support including nursing techs, phlebotomists, and unit secretaries during night shifts
- EPIC EMR system utilized facility-wide
- Structured handoff process between ED nurses and admitting unit for seamless patient transitions
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required in surgical or trauma nursing
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Georgia or eligibility for compact licensure
- BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in surgical or trauma nursing
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system required
- Ability to manage high-acuity patient populations including trauma, surgical, and neurological patients
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts and mandatory holiday coverage
