Acute care and some rehab experience. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg. The unit has a patient capacity of 16 for Medical Surgical and 2 for Acute Care. The patient ratio is 6:1. The electronic health record system used is Medhost. The patient population includes adults with a mix of geriatric patients. Common diagnoses and treatments involve lower-level acute and subacute rehab cases. Physical work level standard, requiring professionalism and a suitable physical presence. Candidates must have the required RN certification and licensure to practice in Kentucky. The dress code consists of solid color scrubs with no specific color requirements. Unacceptable attire includes fleece, hoodies, or non-scrub gear. This position is a replacement for permanent staff. Weekend hours are required on an every-other-weekend basis or as needed. There are no call requirements for this role. Floating to Acute Care Unit may be needed on a PRN basis, which includes light ICU care without vents.
