Description:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.
Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice.
Meets unit-specific physical demands.
Significant bending and stooping may be required, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance.
May be required to work differing schedules and shifts as per patient care requirements.
High risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.
Kneeling, crouching, and crawling are minimally required.
Maintains accountability for provision of patient care throughout assignments.
Coordinates patient care with other departments to ensure the highest level of care is provided.
Performs all duties in accordance with established standards and practices.
