Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Georgia
Start Date: October 26, 2026

Schedule: 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 42-bed post-surgical unit; every other weekend required; holiday coverage expected per assignment period
Highlights:
- 42-bed medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative care for orthopedic, neurosurgery, urology, colorectal, bariatric, and general surgery patients
- Epic EMR required; additional systems include Pyxis and SBAR communication tools
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, lift teams, and rapid response teams
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed; orientation provided based on contract length
- Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract; blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4-12)
- Local candidates accepted at same rate; Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state) required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; previous travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Current BLS certification required; Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Epic EMR experience required; demonstrated competency with 1:6 patient ratio
- Experience with post-surgical patient populations including orthopedic, bariatric, neurosurgery, and general surgery preferred
- Skills required: blood product administration, isolation precautions, surgical drain management, colostomy/ileostomy care, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube management, and use of rapid response teams
- Full compliance documentation due Tuesday prior to start date; must complete core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
