Description
TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Nashville, Tennessee, 37201!
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed Medical Surgical unit with a night shift ratio of 6:1
Perform IV placement and Foley catheter insertion as standard unit procedures
Administer and manage medications using Pyxis dispensing cabinets and IV pumps
Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
Conduct hourly rounding and adhere to patient experience standards including BSSR protocols
Float between Medical Surgical units as needed per unit floating policy
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
BLS certification required
Strong patient assessment skills
Demonstrated experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
Preferred Experience / Skills
NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
CPI certification preferred
Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring and virtual sitter technology
Experience with wound VAC and Sara Steady lift equipment
