Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year in Medical Surgical License: Current RN License in Missouri Certifications: BLS from AHA required; ACLS from AHA preferred Must-Have: 1 year of Med Surg experience, inpatient only Teamwork, dependable, flexible personality Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities consistent with mission and values. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and established guidelines of nursing practice. Meets unit-specific physical demands. Involves significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning of patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, and days of the week based on patient care requirements. Has high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. Remains accountable for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information. Performs responsibilities consistent with organizational mission, values, and service standards.
