Currently, there are 18 beds operational due to renovations in process. Patient ratios are 6-7:1. The unit utilizes a team nursing approach with techs available on the unit. There are unit secretaries and tech support on the day shift. The goal is to have a free charge nurse to support the team. The type of equipment used is regular for Med Surg. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling requires working 4 weekend shifts every 4-week scheduling period. Floating to like units may be required as needs dictate. The dress code requires navy-colored scrubs. Additional unit-specific policies and guidelines should be attached. This facility is well-known for its 24-hour emergency services and trauma care.
