Ability to manage various medical procedures and equipment.
Description:
This position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse.
The role requires floating between units as needed.
Weekends are required every other weekend.
You will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:5.
The unit regularly admits and discharges patients.
Patients include surgical cases such as urology, major abdominal procedures, and trauma.
Medical cases include gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, sepsis, and other infections.
Staffing consists of certified nursing assistants and unit clerks.
A charge nurse will be available without a patient assignment.
There will be a nurse handoff between shifts with bedside reports.
Private patient rooms are available with private bathrooms.
Safe patient handling equipment will be provided.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
You will engage in daily huddles to discuss patient care.
This role involves managing a variety of clinical equipment and procedures.
