Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 26-bed Medical Acute Care unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
Operate and manage Baxter IV pumps and SCD machines in accordance with unit protocols
Administer and monitor drips, including heparin, as ordered
Assist with post-operative care for radial cardiac catheterization patients
Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care technicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Required Qualifications
Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado (or compact license eligibility)
Minimum of 1 year of current Med/Surg acute care hospital experience
BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification
Experience with Meditech EMR
Background in orthopedic or post-operative patient care
High-energy, team-oriented personality with a strong focus on patient care quality
