Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on an Orthopedic/Medical unit with patient ratios of 4:1 (Spine) and 5:1 (Ortho)
  • Perform and manage central line care, blood transfusions, and foley/straight catheterization
  • Operate and monitor telemetry, epidurals, and PCAs in an acute care setting
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians across day and night shifts
  • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of current, hospital-based acute care Orthopedic experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of overall RN experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • ACLS certification
  • Orthopedic and/or Spine nursing experience
  • Medical/Surgical nursing background
