# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Trauma Unit – Tennessee

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
Highlights:- 34-bed trauma medical/surgical unit at an ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke and Certified Chest Pain Center designations
- 6:1 patient ratio with dedicated tech support on day and night shifts, plus unit secretary coverage from 7am-7pm
- Utilize Meditech electronic health record system and advanced equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology
- Diverse patient population requiring med/surg expertise, wound care, IV therapy, and management of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
- Contract positions available with structured floating policy prioritizing contract staff rotation
- Supportive team environment focused on patient-centered care and professional development
Requirements:- Active RN license in good standing
- Current BLS certification required
- Medical/surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively
- Competency in IV insertion, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
- Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required
