# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Trauma Unit – TennesseeStart Date: September 28, 2026
Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week scheduleHighlights:
  • 34-bed trauma medical/surgical unit at an ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke and Certified Chest Pain Center designations
  • 6:1 patient ratio with dedicated tech support on day and night shifts, plus unit secretary coverage from 7am-7pm
  • Utilize Meditech electronic health record system and advanced equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology
  • Diverse patient population requiring med/surg expertise, wound care, IV therapy, and management of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
  • Contract positions available with structured floating policy prioritizing contract staff rotation
  • Supportive team environment focused on patient-centered care and professional development
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Medical/surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively
  • Competency in IV insertion, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
  • Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required
