TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Morgantown, West Virginia, 26501!
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities
Manage a patient assignment within a 1:5-7 nurse-to-patient ratio
Perform accurate and timely clinical documentation using Cerner EMR
Monitor and assess patient status, including telemetry, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate safe and effective patient care
Maintain consistent attendance and reliability throughout the duration of the contract; the facility expects no more than 2-3 call-offs per contract period
Required Qualifications
Active West Virginia RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working on a Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry
Prior travel nursing experience is a plus but not required
Familiarity with high-acuity patient populations and variable nurse-to-patient ratios
