Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with an oncology patient population
Manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6 in a fast-paced inpatient setting
Perform and maintain IV start competency as a core clinical skill
Document and chart accurately using Cerner EMR
Adhere to unit attendance expectations; the facility maintains a strict policy allowing no more than 2-3 call-offs per contract
Required Qualifications
Active West Virginia RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required - must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
NIHSS certification required
IV start proficiency required
Candidates must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
Oncology nursing experience
ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification
Familiarity with Cerner EMR modules
