TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Springfield, Tennessee, 37172!
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio across a 27-bed floor
Care for post-operative patients, with an emphasis on orthopedic post-op populations
Perform and manage blood transfusions, IV therapy, and central line maintenance
Utilize Meditech Expanse for clinical documentation and Computer on Wheels (COW) and Pyxis at the bedside
Float between two Medical Surgical units (MS2 and MS3) as needed per staffing requirements
Collaborate with unit secretaries and patient care technicians available across all shifts
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
Experience with post-operative patients, particularly orthopedic surgery patients
BLS certification required
Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and every other weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification (preferred but not required)
Prior experience with Meditech Expanse documentation system
Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and Welch Allyn vital sign equipment
