Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,846 per week in Springfield, TN

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Springfield, Tennessee, 37172!

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio across two floors (27 beds each)
• Care for post-operative patients, with an emphasis on orthopedic post-op cases
• Perform and manage blood transfusions, IV therapy, and central line maintenance
• Document patient care using the Meditech Expanse electronic documentation system
• Utilize unit equipment including Computer on Wheels, Pyxis, and Welch Allyn vital sign machines
• Float between Medical Surgical units as needed per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Experience with post-operative patients, particularly orthopedic surgery patients
• BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (preferred but not required)
• Prior experience with Meditech Expanse documentation system
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and central line care protocols
