# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN), Med/Surg Trauma – Tennessee**Start Date:** September 28, 2026 **Location:** Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule; 6:1 patient ratio**Highlights:** - Work in a 34-bed Trauma Med/Surg unit at an ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke and Certified Chest Pain Center certifications- Utilize Meditech documentation system with modern equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, continuous pulse ox, feeding pumps, PCA, and iMobile communication technology- Tech support available on day and night shifts; unit secretary coverage from 7a-7p- Gain experience with diverse patient population requiring surgical drain maintenance, wound care, chest tubes, and nasogastric tubes- Contract length: 13 weeks (standard travel assignment)- Opportunity to work in a facility committed to compassionate, patient-centered care with bedside shift reporting**Requirements:** - Active RN license- Current BLS certification- Med/Surg experience required- Ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively- Competency in IV insertion and basic wound care- Experience with maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to work in a high-acuity trauma environment where you'll make a meaningful impact on patients recovering from complex medical and surgical conditions.
