Description:
Minimum experience required is 1 year.
First timers are accepted.
Charge Nurse experience is preferred.
Patient population includes adults to geriatrics.
Certifications required include BLS.
General skills required include isolation precautions, wound care and management, nasal cannula, high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, starting IVs, PICC line management, blood product administration, and feeding tube care and management.
The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 1:6.
The unit has 32 rooms with an average daily census of 29.
Full compliance is required to start on time.
If not compliant in time, the start may be delayed by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling.
Traveling staff may be required to float within the facility as needed.
If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the nurse is expected to work it.
If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the nurse is expected to work both holidays.
If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the nurse is expected to work two of the holidays.
Holiday requirements include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.
All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission.
No time off requests can be made during orientation week.
Max time off allowed is 7 days.
