Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1+ year of Med Surg nursing License: Current RN License in the state of Missouri Certifications: BLS from AHA Must-Have: 1 year of Med Surg experience in an inpatient setting Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for all age groups. Conducts assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort. Maintains professionalism and accountability in the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct care providers. Coordinates patient care efforts in collaboration with other departments. Ensures compliance with patient rights and confidentiality standards. Performs duties in alignment with established guidelines and standards. Physical requirements include standing and walking for most of the shift. Involves significant bending, stooping, and lifting of patients when necessary. May work varying schedules and shifts based on patient care demands. Has potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Engages with a diverse patient population and provides compassionate care. Commitment to maintaining the mission, values, and service standards in all actions. Patient-to-nurse ratios are variable and reflect care needs. Outpatient duties may include providing care for patients post-trauma or surgery.
