Description:
This medical-surgical unit has 25 beds.
Patient ratios are 5-6:1 during the day and 6:1 at night.
Day staffing includes a unit secretary and 2-3 patient care technicians.
Night staffing includes 2-3 patient care technicians.
Equipment used on the unit includes Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter equipment, and remote telemetry.
The electronic documentation system is Meditech.
Scheduling requires working every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday, with flexible weekdays.
Floating may occur on an as-needed basis, primarily between medical-surgical units.
Patient experience requirements include BSSR and hourly rounding.
Advanced skills required include IV and Foley catheter placement.
The dress code requires black or royal blue scrubs.
