Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg specialty.
The unit has 25 beds and patient ratios are 5-6:1 during the day and 6:1 at night.
Staffing during the day includes a Unit Secretary and 2-3 Patient Care Technicians, with 2-3 Patient Care Technicians present at night.
Common equipment utilized on the unit includes Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter equipment, and remote telemetry.
The documentation system in use is Meditech.
Scheduling requirements include every other weekend, with flexible weekdays.
Floating to other Med Surg units may be required as needed.
Patient experience requirements include BSSR and hourly rounding.
Procedures performed on the unit include IV and Foley catheter placement.
The dress code consists of black or royal blue scrubs.
