Description:
The unit has 27 beds available.
Patient ratios are 5:1.
Unit secretaries are available during the day shift, and techs are available on all shifts.
Equipment includes Computer on Wheels, Pyxis, and Welch Allen vital sign machines.
Documentation is done using Meditech Expanse.
Staffing requires working 3 days a week with every other weekend.
There is a floating policy requiring staff to float between units.
Expectations include a focus on patient experience.
Procedures performed on the unit include blood transfusions and IV and central line maintenance.
The dress code requires dark blue uniforms.
Unit-specific policies and guidelines apply.
