The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar setting. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics with diverse medical needs. A strong focus on patient care and effective communication is essential. The nurse-to-patient ratio is between 5 to 6. The unit includes 33 beds with an average daily census of 28 patients. The role involves working every other weekend and participating in holiday coverage as needed. Floating to other departments within the facility may be required based on staffing needs. The candidate must adhere to compliance requirements to ensure a smooth onboarding process. The position includes various clinical skills such as blood product administration, IV management, wound care, and telemetry monitoring. Strong teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams are vital. Candidates must also be prepared to work closely with patients in a fast-paced environment.
