Teamwork and clear communication are essential for this position. We seek team members who strive to improve the quality of life for patients. Assist in improving patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs). Clinical team interviews will be conducted prior to presenting candidates. Floating between units or facilities may be required based on staffing needs. Notification will be provided before a scheduled shift if float assignment is necessary. Unit capacity consists of 30 beds. The population served includes primarily stroke patients. General medical-surgical patients may be present when stroke volumes are lower. Patients served range from young adults to late adults (ages 18 - 60+). The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:6. Variable staffing includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Nurse Interns. An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team.
