**Exciting Opportunity for Med/Surg RN!**
**Job Description:**
- **Unit Overview:**
- **Number of Beds:** 30
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:6
- **Staffing:** 2-3 techs per shift, clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, director
- **Equipment and Technology:**
- Wound vacs, heparin gtts, suction devices, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanners, feeding pumps, telemetry
- **Documentation System:** Editech
- **Scheduling:**
- No guaranteed block scheduling
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
- **Floating Policy:** Float between 2 North and 2 West
- **Patient Experience Requirements:**
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Meet the needs of patients and families
- Perform service recovery as necessary
- Escalate any problems through the chain of command
- **Certifications Needed:**
- BLS Required
- **Requested Skill Set:**
- **Must Have:**
- IV starts
- NGT placement
- Wound care
- Cardiac rhythms
- **Advanced Skills:**
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- **Procedures Performed on Unit:**
- Lab draws
- IV starts
