Description:
Contract position for a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical unit.
The assignment is for 13 weeks on a day shift schedule.
No on-call requirements are present.
The unit has 32 beds and a patient ratio of 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night.
The staff on the day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, and 3 PCTs.
Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2 PCTs.
Key equipment includes vital signs machines and communication devices.
The electronic medical record system is Meditech.
Permanent positions may be available in the unit.
Teamwork and initiative are essential traits for candidates.
Preferred skills include experience with transplants, dialysis patients, and diabetic patients.
The unit specializes in all surgical procedures, including kidney transplants.
The dress code requires navy scrubs.
