Description:
Travelers must start on designated orientation dates.
The facility has 355 beds and offers specialized services across various medical fields.
It includes a brain center, cancer center, heart center, lung center, orthopedics, and others.
The emergency department has 32 beds, the inpatient rehab unit has 29 beds, and there is a 15-bed surgical suite.
There is also a behavioral health hospital on the campus.
The unit comprises 18 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6.
Equipment used includes Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and PCA pumps.
The electronic health record system utilized is Cerner.
The supervisor oversees an adult and geriatric medical-surgical patient population.
Common diagnoses and treatments include COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, diabetic complications, wound care, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, end-of-life care, falls, weakness, sepsis, and infection.
Candidates should possess strong teamwork and patient advocacy skills.
This is a busy floor requiring the ability to keep up with patient care demands.
Required education is either an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
The dress code allows for any color scrubs.
