Description:
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Cares for all patients, some with telemetry orders.
Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6.
Supported by Patient Care Technicians and a Healthcare Unit Coordinator.
Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring and monitor techs for telemetry patients.
Serves a population of all ages.
Travelers may be required to work up to 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period and holidays if needed.
