Description:
We are seeking a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team.
This position is for a night shift, working three 12-hour shifts per week.
The nurse will provide care to patients with renal and urological diagnoses.
The unit focuses on managing patients post-prostate surgery, renal stones, and surgeries on the bladder and kidney.
The nursing staff is skilled in various procedures, including catheter irrigations, bladder scans, and incontinence management.
Patient demographics include young adults through geriatric patients.
Nurses will also care for medical-surgical and telemetry overflow admissions.
Patient ratios will be 1:6.
Weekend shifts are required as part of this role.
Floating to units of equal or lesser acuity may be necessary.
Staff will have interdisciplinary support from various services, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
The daily census on the unit is approximately 16 patients.
