Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical-Surgical

• Provide high-quality care to patients in the surgical unit
• Perform IV-peripheral and central line care
• Handle tubes/drains including NG, JP, chest tube, and ostomy care
• Insert and manage Foley catheters
• Float between units as needed, following the hospital's Floating Policy

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical-Surgical

• Active TX RN License (temporary licenses are not accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical RN experience
• Experience with Meditech charting
