The unit has 34 beds and a staff of 60. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. Shifts are from 19:00 to 07:00. There is a charge RN on every shift along with RNs and techs. Essential equipment includes bladder scanners, vital sign monitors, vein finders, and electronic medical records. On-call requirements are twice per contract. Weekend shifts are required, with four weekends scheduled per month. Typical procedures performed include Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. Candidates are expected to have flexibility and organizational skills. Charge experience is preferred but not required. Candidates will be assessed based on skills listed in the must-have section.
