Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 4×12-Hour Shifts Preferred (3×12 Also Considered) | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend | Holiday Rotation | Call Rotation
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / General Surgery unit with a patient ratio of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
- Participate in on-call and holiday rotation as required by the unit
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs as directed
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Be prepared to participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start date)
- BLS certification required
- Candidates who are able to work holidays are a priority
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; time-off requests submitted after submission will not be accepted
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience preferred; first-time travelers considered but not preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience in a Medical Surgical or General Surgery setting
