Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 54-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
Perform and document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes using Epic EMR
Demonstrate IV start skills as a core component of patient care delivery
Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November), as required by facility policy
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience
Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
IV start skills required
Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
Telemetry monitoring experience
Experience with management of cardiac drips (cardiac gtts)
Familiarity with Epic charting system
