Schedule: Travel assignment, 48 hours per week, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM day shifts, rotating weekends required
Highlights:
- 43-bed medical unit serving a diverse adult patient population
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on day shift, supported by charge nurse, unit secretary, and CNA team
- Full range of surgical cases excluding cardiac and open neurosurgery
- EMR system: Meditech
- Self-scheduling allowed within balanced schedule framework
- May float to medical units and emergency department to provide medical-surgical hold support
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state
- Previous medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting required
- Meditech experience strongly preferred
- BLS certification (additional certifications as needed)
- Strong team player with willingness to ask questions and adapt to unit processes
