Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – Georgia
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio; every other weekend required; holiday coverage expected per assignment length
Highlights:
- 42-bed Medical/Surgical unit specializing in post-surgical care including orthopedic, urology, colorectal, bariatric, neurosurgery, and general surgery patients
- Epic EMR system required; facility also utilizes Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; RTO must be finalized at time of submission
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers not accepted
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
- Current BLS certification
- Georgia RN license or valid Compact license at time of application
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Skills in post-surgical care, blood product administration, bariatric surgery, bowel obstruction management, colostomy/ileostomy care, CBI, feeding tube management, isolation precautions, neurosurgery, spinal cord injury care, surgical drains, total joint replacement, and use of rapid response/code teams
