Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
Operate and monitor IV pumps, vital signs machines, and other unit equipment
Document and manage patient records using Meditech EMR
Perform hourly rounding and apply patient-centered communication practices
Float to other Med-Surg areas as needed
Rotate weekend assignments as part of the standard schedule
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS certification required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical setting
Proficiency with Meditech EMR is required; candidates without this skill will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with hourly rounding protocols
Familiarity with AIDET communication framework
Flexible, caring, and compassionate approach to patient care with a willing, team-oriented attitude
