Description:
This position involves providing attentive and compassionate care to patients and their family members.
You will conduct bedside shift reports and establish personal connections with patients to include them and their family members in their plan of care.
The unit includes 34 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1.
Support staff includes tech support on both day and night shifts, with unit secretaries available from 07:00 to 19:00.
You will work with equipment such as IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, and bladder scanners.
Documentation will be performed using a specified electronic medical record system.
Scheduling requires three 12-hour shifts per week, including two weekends (four shifts) in a four-week schedule.
The floating policy indicates contract labor is the first to float, with rotations applied when multiple staff are scheduled.
