- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay:$1,700 to $1,950
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, pain levels, neurological status, and overall condition
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments safely
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to physicians and the healthcare team
- Assist with procedures, treatments, admissions, transfers, and discharge activities
- Monitor IV lines, drains, wounds, catheters, and other clinical devices
- Provide wound care and other treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, physical therapists, case managers, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Follow infection prevention, medication safety, patient safety, HIPAA, and hospital policies
- Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
- Advocate for patients while providing compassionate, evidence-based care
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current ACLS Certification preferred or required by facility
- Strong knowledge of Medical-Surgical nursing, medication administration, patient assessment, and clinical documentation
- Experience caring for patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care
