Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience caring for general Medical-Surgical patients Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. The individual is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. 1+ consecutive working experience is acceptable. The unit has 24 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. There is a unit secretary available on the day shift, and the staffing includes Patient Care Technicians with a ratio of 1:8 or 1:12. Standard hospital equipment is utilized in the unit. The documentation system in place is Meditech Expanse. The scheduling requirements include working 2 weekends per month. Floating to other Medical-Surgical units or to care for Medical-Surgical holds may be required. Care for Medical-Surgical level patients in ICU/PCU may also be necessary. Bedside shift report and safety rounding are part of the patient experience requirements. There are no specific procedures performed on this unit. The dress code requires navy blue uniforms.
