Unit has 40 beds.
Patient ratios estimated at 1:7.
Staffing includes 1 clinical nurse coordinator, 7 nurses, 4 patient care technicians, and 1 unit coordinator per shift.
Regular medical equipment is used for the med-surg unit.
Documentation system utilized is Meditech.
36 hours of work required per week with rotating weekends.
Contract labor is first to float to like units.
Minimum of 1 year experience in patient care required.
Advanced skills are not necessary.
Procedures performed include EKGs, glucose monitoring, and venipuncture.
Dress code requires royal blue top and bottom.
Unit specific policies and guidelines will be provided.
