Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Ortho Trauma / Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
  • Operate Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines; document care using the Meditech EMR system
  • Perform patient ambulation and wound care as needed
  • Collaborate with an RN/LVN/PCT team including a charge nurse each shift, as well as a dedicated admission/discharge team to support patient throughput
  • May be required to float to the Surgical Telemetry Unit or Inpatient Rehab as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
  • Travel nursing assignment - candidates must meet travel eligibility requirements
