Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within a short-term acute care facility
- Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:4
- Document patient care and clinical information using Epic electronic health records
- Float between units within the facility as needed based on patient care demands
- Commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard terms; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
- Must submit all requested time off and scheduling needs upfront at time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be granted
- Must be able to commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (may include Charge RNs or Leads)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a Medical Surgical setting within an acute care hospital
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Experience working in a travel or contract nursing capacity
