Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Float to similar units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
- Assist with and monitor patients following special procedures, including post heart catheterization care
- Support bedside procedures such as dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage (I&D)
- Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
- Provide weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis, with flexibility based on unit need
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Tennessee
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
- Minimum of 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 50.0–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates residing under 50 miles are ineligible
- Pre-assignment testing and online modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with the Omnicell medication dispensing system
- First-time travelers with strong, relevant unit experience may be considered
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient populations
