Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities, specializing in renal and urological diagnoses across a patient population ranging from young adults to geriatrics
• Manage post-operative care for patients following prostate, bladder, and kidney surgeries, including renal stone management
• Perform 3-way catheter irrigations, bladder scans, and incontinency procedures
• Monitor telemetry and manage overflow medical-surgical and telemetry patients as census requires
• Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (State or Compact); license must be in hand at time of submittal
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Candidates must not reside in the following counties at time of submittal: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
• Previous employees must wait 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
• Familiarity with urological and renal patient populations
