Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 43-bed medical/surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:6 on nights
Perform a broad range of surgical nursing procedures, excluding cardiac and open neuro surgery
Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and unit staff as a willing team player in a fast-paced acute care environment
Utilize the Meditech EMR system for accurate and timely documentation
Float as needed to the medical unit and ER to provide med/surg hold nurse coverage
Participate in self-scheduling within a balanced schedule framework, including rotating weekends
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure in good standing
Minimum of 1 year of med/surg nursing experience in an acute care setting
Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and rotating weekends
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Meditech EMR
Comfortable working in a high-volume unit with diverse patient populations
Adaptable, team-oriented personality with confidence to ask questions when navigating new processes
