The unit handles a variety of patient diagnoses including stroke/TIA, UTI, sepsis, and pneumonia. Nursing staff will care for patients with weakness and unsteady gait. Patients are admitted from the surrounding community, assisted living facilities, and nursing care facilities. Weekend shifts are required. Navy scrubs are the expected attire for this position. Travelers with local addresses within a 50-mile radius will not be accepted. All required time off must be listed at the time of submittal. Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler. All onboarding core items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Modules required are non-billable and are completed on-site during orientation.
