Description:
This position is for a Med Surg nursing role.
The unit consists of 32 beds and a staff of 11.
Day shift typically includes 1 charge nurse, 6 nurses, 3 patient care technicians, and 1 unit coordinator.
Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 6 nurses, and 3 patient care technicians.
The patient ratios are 1 nurse to 5 or 6 patients.
The unit is equipped with IV pumps and vital sign machines.
The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, compassion, and a caring attitude.
Rotating weekends are expected.
This position requires a focus on hourly rounding.
