# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med/Surg Telemetry) – Texas
Start Date: September 2, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends (4 weekend shifts per month), no call required
Highlights:- 13-week contract assignment on a 28-bed Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
- Manageable patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 with dedicated charge nurse and PCT support
- Work with specialized equipment including video EEG, telemetry, Hoyer lifts, and bladder scanners
- EMR system: Meditech
- Collaborative team environment with experienced nursing staff
- No routine invasive procedures; focus on quality patient care and monitoring
Requirements:- Active RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 3 years of acute care hospital nursing experience strongly preferred
- Epilepsy care experience preferred
