Key Responsibilities of the 1st Acute Med/Surg RN

• Apply nursing knowledge and skills in the delivery of patient care
• Assess patient/family needs and develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members to monitor progress
• Promote and advocate for the health, safety, and rights of patients
• Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and initiate improvements
• Motivate and educate the patient/family for continued care and healing at home
• Encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
• Comply with infection prevention strategies and maintain necessary competencies

Requirements of the 1st Acute Med/Surg RN

• NYS RN Licensure Required
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• One (1) Year Experience serving in Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse
