Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a day shift ratio of 6:1
- Operate and manage equipment including IV lines, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs
- Document patient care and clinical information using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Collaborate with a unit support team that includes up to 3 technicians per shift and a unit secretary on day shift
- Float in rotation to other appropriate areas of the facility as needed per unit policy
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or a compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Proficiency with standard Med/Surg equipment including IVs, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs
- Ability to work every other weekend as required by unit scheduling
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
- Experience in a high-census or fast-paced Medical/Surgical environment
- Comfort with floating to other appropriate units as part of a rotation
