Unit Information:
Number of Beds: 30
Type of Staff: Day Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 4-5 RNs if unit census supports, 2 PCTs, and 1 HUC, with 1-3 sitters.
Night Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 4-5 RNs if unit census is full, 2 PCTs, and 1-3 sitters depending on patient population.
Patient Ratios: 6:1
Equipment: Hoyer lifts, Sara Steady, bladder scanners.
EMR: Meditech
On Call Requirement: None
Floating Requirement: Per the needs of the hospital
Typical Hiring Profile:
Most recruited for: Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters.
Candidates must have experience in med-surg or acute care.
Preferred experience: Previous experience with the organization.
Typical Procedures Performed:
Post-surgical procedures, such as cholecystectomy and cystoscopy with stent placement.
Pain management.
CIWA patients.
